1. I am blessed to have read an article about cat feeding habits. It states that cats should be fed small amounts, several times a day, in different locations in the house. I don't know how accurate it is but I'm sure enjoying playing hide n seek with Mia! :)
2. I was blessed to get my car serviced today.
3. I was also blessed to get a 2nd opinion on the work they said I needed doing. It's gonna save me at least a couple hundred quid!

13th January 2017

1. Slightly odd one this... I am blessed that I found myself awake at 3:30am...ish wondering how Derren Brown pulled off his lottery trick - a trick he pulled off almost a decade ago! In trying to answer this, I found a host of websites detailing how Derren Brown does his tricks. In so doing, I found I've been rather naive and it also gave me a better understanding of why John disliked him so much for what John clearly saw - that I never did in the way I should've done - is that Derren Brown is a liar!
2. I am blessed to live in the Wirral, where gorgeous scenery is only a 10 minute drive away.
3. I was also blessed to see the spectacular sight of the waves crashing into the prom at New Brighton. The sea was incredibly high - probably about the highest I've seen it - and the spray from the waves was shooting up to about 30ft!

In the words of a toddler across the road, "it's SNOWING!!!" (Actually, it's hail at the moment but I wasn't going to spoil his illusion)...

1. I was blessed to read this article today: https://www.thefword.org.uk/2017/01/i-wore-mens-clothes-for-a-month-and-it-changed-my-life but my final thought is "try it the other way around and you'll find out far more about patriarchy and sexism".
2. I was also blessed to read this article: http://www.tarshi.net/inplainspeak/homosexuality-films-tv by good friend, Sonia. It reminded me of an observation I'd made whilst watching old episodes of Only Fools And Horses and being horrified by the casual homophobia, racism, and sexism in it. It answered a question I hadn't really been able to before - I don't remember my parents being particularly homophobic, so where did I learn that homosexuality was a bad thing? The answer is: it was everywhere! And when a message is everywhere - even if it's just one word such as "poofter" - it's pretty hard not to absorb it!
3. I was blessed to have a massage at WHISC this afternoon. I feel very much 'looser' now :)

1. I was blessed to enjoy lunch at Dukes in Liscard
2. I was blessed to get my hair cut this afternoon. It's a bit shorter than I would've ideally liked but it still looks great! :)
3. I was blessed to get more of my college work done. It means I can relax now :)

1. I am blessed that I have a good imagination and have come up with three times as many 'transformed objects' as I was required to for college
2. I am blessed that I have ordered over £1000 of computer gear and I'm gonna get it all for just £200 on my DSA
3. I am blessed that the Tate, MoMA, and other galleries have such good resources online and for free

1. I was blessed to find my student maintenance loan in my bank account this morning.
2. I am blessed to be back at college again with an interesting project to get my teeth into.
3. I was blessed to go to Liverpool this afternoon with Suzy and get into the Yves Kline exhibition at the Tate for free. :)

1. I am blessed to have discovered Schoenberg (through Radio 3's Composer of the Week programs). John hated him so we never listened to him (me relying on John's classical music expertise when I was with him) but, actually, I rather like him a lot! It reminds me of Stravinsky - another of my favourite classical composers. It's music that catches the ear but it is NOT easy listening!
2. I am blessed not to be on Facebook any more. I really wonder now how I ever stood it! It's truly horrible!
3. I made myself a lovely tea of nut roast and freshly cooked veg (a rare treat!). :)

1. I was blessed to get my eyebrows threaded this afternoon. They were getting rather untidy but now they're nicely trimmed again.
2. I am blessed to own a nice new pair of walking boots that are comfy. With my feet, that is a small miracle! They were £20 cheaper than my last pair too!
3. I am blessed to have nice relatives who sent me Christmas and birthday cards. As I didn't bother sending them anything, it felt only right to write and thank them today.

6th January 2017

1. I am blessed with the Arriva buses app that, for example, allowed me to buy a 'bus ticket' on my mobile when I didn't have any cash on me. With said 'bus ticket', I was able to visit New Brighton, Heswall, and Liverpool today. :)
2. I am blessed that I bought myself a sorter for my Christmas ornaments a couple of years ago. It makes putting the Christmas decs away much simpler - even if it is sad doing so.
3. I was blessed to go see Scouse of the Rising Sun this evening at the Royal Court theatre. It was 2 hours of amiable nonsense and the theatre is fabulous! Liverpool is blessed with some fabulous theatres! :)
